Our girls' and boys' troops will be going backpacking on the C&O Canal Towpath in April. There are two versions of the trek -- the longer version is part of an ongoing series of backpacking treks that some members of the boys' troop have been building up to over the course of the last year, while the shorter version is an introduction to backpacking and is suitable for any Scout who wishes to participate.
All of the Scouts will camp together on Friday night and do the last 3.4 miles of the trek together on Saturday morning.
Scouts who are going on the shorter trek should be at the church by 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 18. They should bring:

A signed permission slip (Short Trip) (Long Trip)
Annual Health and Medical Record - Parts A and B are required (if not already on file)
Payment of $25, if not already submitted.
Remember to bring snacks and rain gear!
