June 2022 Calvert Cliffs Campout
We will be camping at the Youth Group Site (also known as "Camp Bay Breeze") at Calvert Cliffs State Park on the weekend of June 10-12. Scouts will arrive on the evening of the 10th beginning at 5pm, and pickup will be at noon Sunday, though families are encouraged to arrive at 11 and participate in a mini-Court of Honor.
Please do not arrive before 5pm. You will not be able to get into the campground.
The cost for this campout is $22 per Scout, and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.
Note that there is no address for the campsite. Please review the location and directions carefully before setting out.
The GPS coordinates of the campsite are 38°24'47.5"N 76°25'37.6"W, and the directions from Route 4 are:
Follow signs on Rt. 4 to Calvert Cliffs State Park.
After exiting Rt. 4 at the signposted turn, you will be across from the park main entrance on Rt. 765.
Turn left on Rt. 765. (Do not enter the park through the main entrance. The campgrounds are not accessible via the park main entrance.)
Go one half mile (just past Middleham Chapel) and turn right onto Camp Conoy Road. Note that this road may also be marked "Camp Candy Road".
Follow Camp Conoy/Camp Candy Road to the end of the hard surface road and bear right onto the dirt road.
The entrance to Camp Bay Breeze will be about a quarter mile on the right.

You are looking for this gate
When you get to the gate, you will need to be let in by someone who is already on-site; we are not allowed to leave the gate open. Please call Sonja or Heather. Cell signal is a little sketchy, so it's a good idea to keep us informed along the way of your projected arrival time.
The campsite is located more than half a mile from the gate, down a dirt road that is not in great condition. You may find that you are not comfortable driving all the way to the site. We will have vehicles on-site that can comfortably make the drive.
