September 2020 Cedarville State Forest Campout
We will be going to Cedarville State Forest for one night, September 26-27. The arrival time at the campsite on Saturday is noon; pick-up time on Sunday is also noon. We will be camping in Youth Group Site E. The address of the park is:

COVID-specific information
This is our second in-person campout since the start of the pandemic restrictions, and will be done similarly to the first one last month. Here is some information about the COVID-specific details:
Transportation: Families are responsible for transporting their Scout(s) to and from the campsite.
Sleeping accommodations: Everyone will sleep in individual tents or hammocks.
Shared equipment: Shared equipment will be sanitized between uses, whenever possible.
Sanitary facilities: There is a bathhouse with flush toilets near the campsite.
Hand-washing: A hand washing station and hand sanitizer will be available. Everyone will be expected to make frequent use of these amenities, including before and after touching any shared surfaces.
Social distancing: Everyone will stay at least 6' away from other people, including people they live with, whenever possible.
Masks: Everyone will carry a mask with them at all times, and will wear it whenever it is not possible to maintain 6' of distance from other people.
Food: We will be individually preparing dehydrated backpacking-style meals. Scouts will bring their own lunch on Saturday.
Water: Everyone will bring enough water for their own personal use. The only shared water will be that used to individually prepare dehydrated food, which will be boiled before use and distributed by one person using a ladle.
Everyone is expected to follow the troop's Draft COVID-19 Guidelines.

Personal Gear (Packing List) - Please pay special attention to the packing list! We won't be able to share gear that someone forgets to bring.
Annual Health and Medical Record - Parts A and B are required (if not already on file)
Payment of $20
Food - different from how we usually do things!
Based on our experiences in August, we have determined that it's possible for the troop to provide dehydrated backpacking-style meals. Note that NO FOOD WILL BE SHARED. Please do not bring snacks to share with others.
Scouts will bring their own lunch for Saturday. This should be something that does not require cooking, like a sandwich.
We will not be doing joint dishwashing. Meals will be prepared individually in Ziplock freezer bags, which will be discarded at the end of the meal.
