We will be going to Camp Cone at Gunpowder Falls State Park for two nights, January 29-31. Scouts will arrive from 4pm onward Friday afternoon, and will be picked up at noon on Sunday.
Note that there is no address for the campsite. Please review the location and directions carefully before setting out.
The GPS coordinates of the campsite are 39°26'14.9"N 76°28'17.8"W , and the directions are:
From Harford Road (MD-147), turn onto Sharon Drive.
When you reach Camp Cone Road, turn left.
The park is located at the very end of Camp Cone Road. This road is a single lane and has several turns -- please pay close attention to stay on the road instead of inadvertently ending up in someone's driveway.
There will be a designated turn around and a park sign by the main gate. Proceed through the gate and park in the open area past the gate.

Our troop has established COVID-specific policies that are somewhat different from the way we usually camp. Here are the details for this particular campout.
Transportation: Families are responsible for transporting their Scout(s) to and from the campsite.
Sleeping accommodations: Everyone will sleep in individual tents.
Shared equipment: Shared equipment will be sanitized between uses, whenever possible.
Sanitary facilities: There are vault toilets at the campsite.
Hand-washing: A hand washing station and hand sanitizer will be available. Everyone will be expected to make frequent use of these amenities, including before and after touching any shared surfaces.
Social distancing: Everyone will stay at least 6' away from other people, including people they live with, whenever possible.
Masks: Everyone will carry a mask with them at all times, and will wear it whenever it is not possible to maintain 6' of distance from other people.
Food: Everyone will bring their own dinner for Friday night. We will be doing patrol cooking for all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Only one person will cook and serve each meal.
Water: Everyone must bring enough drinking water for their own personal use (see packing list). The troop will bring cooking water. There is no potable water available at the campsite.
Everyone is expected to follow the troop's COVID-19 Guidelines.
